Zafar Qureshi, others to be reinstated immediately: SC

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has issued orders for the immediate reinstatement of Zafar Qureshi and four other FIA officers investigating the NICL scam case, Geo News reported. The court issued the notification today. The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry heard the NICL case and in his remarks asked if the FIA had breached laws by not following the SC orders of stopping the transfer of the four officers. He further said that when the court had ordered that the departmental inquiry against Zafar Qureshi be stopped, then why did the Interior Secretary issue a show case notice to him. The hearing of the case was adjourned till July 14.
